Job Summary: 
This role will lead the execution of heavy highway and site work construction projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards. They oversee all phases of the project lifecycle—from planning and scheduling to subcontractor management, cost control, and client coordination. Senior Project Managers also serve as key mentors, providing guidance and leadership to Project Engineers and Project Managers, helping develop the next generation of project leaders. Depending on the scope, they may manage an entire project or take ownership of a major portion within a larger program. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities: 
-          Assist the estimating team with bid reviews as requested 
-          Assist estimator with bid scrubbing process for importing into Vista and Heavy Job 
-          Review subcontracts for accuracy before submittal to subcontractors for execution 
-          Create, submit, and maintain the project schedule in Microsoft Office or Primavera P6 
-          Draft and maintain all official correspondence between Curran and owner and/or general contractor and all project-related documentation (RFI’s, submittals, transmittals, letters, etc.) 
-          Work with owners to create AIA payment form and billing work items on private projects 
-          Continual monitoring of project job costs, including: 
                  o   Daily review and approval of cost codes and crew time on foreman time sheets 
                  o   Daily, weekly, and monthly review of job costs against budget and making necessary field changes to improve project profitability 
                  o   Perform month-end cost to complete work in progress (WIP) analysis 
-          Create and submit extra work AUP or lump sum proposals 
-          Create and update 2 week look-ahead scheduled if required 
-          Scheduling and coordination of surveyor and subcontractor activities 
-          Monitor open receivables to ensure accurate and timely payment from owner for work performance 
-          Monitor DBE goal and ensure it is met 
-          Calculate, negotiate, and reach an agreement with owner/general contractor and subcontractors on final work/material quantities due under contract 
-          Submit time extension requests as needed 
-          Perform final paperwork and job closeout with Curran contract administrator 
-          Assist the safety management team by walking the job sites frequently to review all aspects of the job are in compliance with Curran and OSHA safety requirements 
-          Walk the job sites to ensure crews are performing work in compliance with all contract/industry specifications and are following Curran procedures and effectively completing work activities 
-          Assisting Curran safety and legal teams to respond to OSHA or governmental investigations, or to prosecute or defend against contract and general liability litigation 
-          Mentor and coach those less experienced within the project management team to help increase their skill set and advance their careers 
-          Other duties as assigned 
 
Required Skills & Abilities: 
-          Ability to work with all levels of management 
-          Strong math aptitude 
-          Detail-oriented with good organizational and paperwork skills 
-          Ability to properly communicate with associated Curran personnel and customers 
-          Must be able to travel extensively by driving between job sites, offices, and meeting locations 
-          Ability to lift up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations 
-          Ability to walk and stand on uneven surfaces 
-          Ability to stand for extended periods of time 
-          Ability to climb in and out of vehicles 
-          Ability to bend, kneel, twist, reach and lift 
-          Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions (including extreme heat and cold) 
-          Ability to work in a dusty environment 

Education & Experience: 
-          Minimum of Associates Degree in Construction Management (BS in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Civil Engineering preferred) 
-          At least 10 years of experience in construction project management or similar fields 
-          HCSS or Gauge experience preferred 
-          Microsoft Project and Office proficiency is a plus 
-          Intimate knowledge of IDOT and Tollway specifications is a plus 
-          Proven history working with, coaching and mentoring PE’s or less experienced PM’s
-          Must possess a valid drier’s license and comply with all Curran motor vehicle policies

This role is targeting a range of $115-145k for a seasoned professional and is eligible for the company's incentive bonus program.
