As our UI/UX Designer, you will lead the redesign of our flagship product, enhancing user experience with a modern, efficient, and visually appealing interface. You will be both hands-on and strategic, embedding within our Agile team to ensure that we deliver a best-in-class product that aligns with the needs of HR professionals. This role requires a leader who can blend deep expertise in design with strategic vision and thought leadership.
What you'll do:
As our UI/UX Designer, you will lead the redesign of our flagship product, enhancing user experience with a modern, efficient, and visually appealing interface. You will be both hands-on and strategic, embedding within our Agile team to ensure that we deliver a best-in-class product that aligns with the needs of HR professionals. This role requires a leader who can blend deep expertise in design with strategic vision and thought leadership.
What you'll do:
- Lead the complete redesign of our JDXpert product suite, incorporating cutting-edge designs and modern technologies such as Generative AI, advanced analytics, and real-time collaboration tools.
- Develop and maintain a robust design system to ensure consistency across the product, streamline design processes, and facilitate collaboration across teams.
- Design high-fidelity, clickable prototypes in Figma, utilizing rapid prototyping techniques to quickly test and iterate based on Agile sprint cycles and cross-functional feedback.
- Champion a persona-based approach across the product development lifecycle, ensuring our designs meet the needs of HR professionals and enterprise customers.
- Actively embed within the Agile team, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure alignment and delivery of design assets.
- Partner closely with Engineering for paired QA sign-off, ensuring designs meet both UX and technical standards before launch.
- Present design concepts to customers, business partners, and internal stakeholders, translating design choices to non-design audiences.
- Support responses to RFPs by providing mockups, wireframes, and other design elements to enhance proposals.
- Contribute to building a culture of design excellence, with the opportunity to mentor junior designers as the team grows.
What you’ll need to have:
- Experience: 7+ years in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-fidelity prototypes, innovative design solutions, and user-centric designs for complex, large-scale projects. Proven track record of leading significant redesigns that demonstrate a deep understanding of modern UX trends, including accessibility and inclusion best practices, mobile-first design, and innovative technologies like AI-driven design.
- Design Tool Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including advanced prototyping, use of components, and Dev Mode for seamless handoff to Engineering. Experience building and maintaining design systems is a must.
- UX Research & Analysis: Demonstrated expertise in conducting in-depth user research, usability testing, and data analysis, with experience translating insights into actionable design improvements. Ability to champion and advocate for research-backed decisions across the team.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of HTML/CSS, responsive design, and ability to bridge the gap between design and development. Familiarity with front-end frameworks, particularly React, is a plus, ensuring effective collaboration with engineering.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating design rationale to diverse audiences including executives, customers, and business partners.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field required. A Master’s degree or additional certifications in UX/UI design is highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
As a bonus, you’ll have:
- Certifications in UX/UI or Design Thinking methodologies (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, IDEO) are highly valued.
- Proven record of leading significant product redesigns with a focus on user-centered design, including accessibility and inclusion best practices.
- Strong experience with Generative AI, advanced analytics, or other emerging technologies that enhance user experience.
- Proven experience in leading workshops, co-design sessions, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to drive product vision. Ability to handle feedback constructively and adapt designs based on input from various sources.
- Experience working in B2B HR Technology with large enterprise customers, specifically working with CHRO, Talent Acquisition, Talent Compliance, and/or Compensation departments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present to executives, customers, and business partners.
- Strong bias toward action and ability to solve problems autonomously.
- Experience in paired QA sign-offs, working directly with Engineering for final approvals.
