Castlewood Doors and Millwork is a partner-owned custom door building business, and we are currently seeking a Warehouse Lead/Carpenter to join our growing team.
The Warehouse Lead/Carpenter is a role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient management of materials. This position combines leadership and carpentry skills, with the goal of maintaining smooth warehouse operations while completing carpentry projects, repairs, and custom woodwork as needed. The individual in this role will need to work closely with both the warehouse team and other departments to ensure that operations run efficiently and safely.

● Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
● Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of doors, hardware, and equipment.
● Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring that materials are stocked and organized appropriately.
● Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and adheres to safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
● Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including loading and unloading trucks, inspecting deliveries, and ensuring correct orders are fulfilled.
● Perform routine warehouse maintenance and assist in optimizing space utilization.
Carpentry and Project Management:
● Lead and participate in some job site issues.
● Repair any manufacturing errors, including doors and custom woodwork.
● Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to make sure projects are according to specifications.
● Lead and supervise any quality issues, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, timely completion.
● Conduct regular inspections of carpentry work, ensuring that it meets company standards and specifications.
● Collaborate with other departments to understand project requirements and timelines, ensuring proper material selection and project execution.
Safety and Compliance:
● Ensure all warehouse and carpentry work is done in accordance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
● Enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain safe work practices across the warehouse and carpentry teams.
● Conduct regular safety audits and work with the team to address potential hazards or inefficiencies.

● High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in carpentry is helpful.
● Proven experience in a carpentry role, with a strong background in woodworking and custom carpentry projects.
● At least 2-3 years of experience in warehouse management or a leadership role in a warehouse setting.
● Solid understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
Skills and Abilities:
● Strong carpentry skills with proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and woodworking machinery.
● Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
● Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
● Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
● Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements:
● Ability to lift heavy objects.
● Capable of standing for long periods and performing physical tasks in a fast-paced environment
● Comfortable working in a variety of environments, both indoor and outdoor, depending on project needs.

Compensation: $20.00 - $28.00/hour (based on experience)
