The Job:
Daasity is in search of a full time Senior Merchant Strategist, in which you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining exemplary merchant relationships, serving as a key driver of our business growth. In this position, you will be responsible for crafting and executing merchant strategies, setting goals, and achieving exceptional results.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Merchant Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for high-value merchants, building and nurturing strong, long-lasting relationships.
- Gain a deep understanding of each merchant's unique business needs and objectives, developing customized strategies to help them achieve their goals.
- Ensure regular and effective communication with merchants, providing updates, guidance, and support to foster their success.
- Able to establish and nurture strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, fostering trust and rapport for successful negotiations
- Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive merchant strategies that drive revenue growth and surpass key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate closely with merchants to set realistic and measurable goals aligned with their specific business objectives while also anticipating future needs.
- Continuously monitor and analyze merchant performance data, providing insights and recommendations to optimize their strategies and achieve desired outcomes while taking full advantage of the Daasity platform.
- Adept at identifying complex problems, breaking them down into manageable components, and developing innovative solutions using analytical thinking
- Innovation and Opportunity Identification:
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape, identifying new opportunities for merchant growth.
- Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and actively seek new approaches, innovations, and solutions to enhance merchant relationships and drive results.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Product, to align strategies and leverage resources for merchant success.
- Regularly questions assumptions, challenges existing ideas, and explores alternative perspectives in order to generate new insights and ideas.
- Enablement and Renewals:
- Leverage your expertise in relationship management, goal-setting, marketing strategy, and tactics to foster a strong partnership with merchants.
- Offer valuable insights and recommendations on how to leverage our data analytics platform and business intelligence services to drive business growth.
- Identify value-added services and opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and effectively manage renewals to enhance the merchant's experience and maximize revenue.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the organization's products/services, their value proposition, and how to effectively upsell and cross-sell to meet merchant goals.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor merchant performance against established goals and KPIs, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics, achievements, and areas of focus to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct regular and in-depth business reviews with merchants to evaluate progress, address challenges, and collaboratively develop action plans for continued success.
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data to extract meaningful insights, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities for strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools using SQL, such as Looker, Tableau, or data visualization software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior-level stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce industry dynamics, marketing strategies, and performance metrics.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in strategic account management, customer success, or a related field within the B2B ecommerce or SaaS environment.
- Deep understanding of data analytics, market research, and business strategy.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset and the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of driving results and achieving revenue growth with strategic accounts.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align strategies with the merchant's business objectives.
- Passion for data analytics and a desire to continuously learn and grow in the field
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while effectively prioritizing tasks.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations and challenges.
- Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools, and other relevant software applications.
