Scottish Stained Glass
Summary Primary duties: Travel with the Restoration Foreman to job sites, remove, pack and install stained glass and protective glass systems. In between installations, the apprentice will learn to disassemble, fabricate, rebuild and restore stained glass panels for residential, commercial and religious applications. Provides first class customer service and represents the company in a professional manner at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively learns all phases of the restoration process through hands on application.
- Closely follows the Foreman’s direction in various removal and installation processes.
- Works with the Stained Glass Instructor in learning and performing repairs or stained glass restorations.
- Travel to various job sites across the United States.
- Will occasionally assist with installing stained glass for residential clients.
- Builds crates as needed.
- Provides first class customer service to all clients and represents the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Clean driver’s license record.
- Presents a clean and professional appearance.
- Ability to provide first class customer service.
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:
- Lifts – up to 75# occasionally and up to 20# frequently.
- Handles and feels – dexterity and coordination required for fine precision work.
- May need to crouch, crawl, stoop, climb, kneel or balance.
- Comfort up to 30-foot ladders and 80-foot lifts.

Work environment
This position operates both locally in shop and at various job sites

Preferred education and experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Some knowledge of stained-glass fabrication and restoration processes
Construction experience
