Responsibilities:

Virtualization and Cloud Solutions:

Design, deploy, and manage virtualized infrastructure using leading virtualization platforms such as VMware on AWS
Develop and implement cloud-based solutions utilizing platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Assess clients' existing virtualization and cloud environments, providing recommendations for optimization and enhancement

Monitoring and Performance Management:

Configure and manage monitoring tools to monitor the health, performance, and availability of client's virtualized environments and cloud resources
Perform proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure optimal system performance and resource utilization

Cloud Migration and Integration:

Collaborate with clients to plan and execute the migration of on-premises applications and workloads to cloud environments.
Ensure data security and compliance while implementing cloud solutions.
Utilize VMwareHCX

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Provide expert-level technical support to clients, resolving complex virtualization, cloud, and monitoring issues
Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures
Offer training and knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams on VMC technologies

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
5-8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware on AWS)
Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
Experience in deploying and managing monitoring tools for virtualized and cloud environments (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus)
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members

Automation and Scripting
VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Project Management
Professional certification(s) (e.g.: PMP)
