Ascent CFO Solutions is looking for a top-notch Data Analyst to join our dynamic team of fractional financial professionals. You will provide strategic Data and Financial Analysis and dashboard development services, and contribute to the quality of the data to our diverse portfolio of clients. Your work will be meaningful and exciting, supporting businesses that are going through transformation, growth, process improvement, fundraising, preparing for an exit, and/or looking to acquire other companies.
Our clients include cutting-edge startups, scale-ups, and private companies, in addition to VC- and PE-backed companies, across a wide range of industries (technology, SaaS, professional services, manufacturing, eCommerce, CPG, FinTech, real estate, construction and more).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the direction of the Sr. Financial Analyst, develop financial dashboards using Power BI, Tableau and other tools including QBO, NetSuite, HubSpot and Salesforce
- Be a trusted and reliable business partner with both Ascent team members and clients
- Work closely with our Fractional CFOs and client Executive teams to develop financial dashboards, custom Excel spreadsheets, and/or operational data analysis
- Attend and be an active participant in client meetings
- Be a critical thinker, ask questions as needed and have a desire to learn more and grow as a professional
DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor or Master's degree with a focus on accounting, finance, business, statistics, analytics or other related field
- Minimum 2 years professional work experience in a data analytics related role
- Understanding of how to write, test, and deploy scripts and queries
- Advanced Excel skills
- Working knowledge of accounting and reporting concepts
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI technologies
- Knowledge of DAX and M Query a plus
- Graphic design/presentation skills a plus
- Tableau experience a plus
- Nimbleness, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity; ability to respond quickly to rapidly evolving opportunities
- Uncompromising attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving, with good data intuition (i.e., an ability to look at analytical results and assess their reasonableness)

Location: Primarily Remote (Pacific or Mountain time preferred)
Compensation: $40-45/hour W2 based on experience, plus benefits if eligible.
