Reporting to the the Senior Director of Business Solutions, the Product Solutions (Sales) Specialist will focus on providing end to end
development, implementation, and management for Grand River Solutions (GRS) product initiatives. This position supports the company’s growth plans by ensuring that new products and current services provide a positive sales experience to the clients of GRS. This position works closely with multiple departments across the organization to establish a roadmap for deliverables and works at the direction of the Regional Directors of Client Engagement & Relations to effectively execute sales strategies.

Key Accountabilities
  • Identify market trends and opportunities
  •  Define, tabulate, and share sales-related data and metrics
  • Achieve sales targets
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing to identify ideas for marketing and promotional opportunities
  • Analyze industry data and market trends to ensure appropriate pricing
  • Participate in product launch activities, including webinars, in-person events, or delivery of informational materials
  • Coordinate with other client-facing GRS partners to ensure consistent messaging and product descriptions.
  •  Learn and understand client needs and best practices for promoting and selling products and services in K-12, higher education markets, and adjacent
    markets
  • Review RFP’s, make recommendations regarding response, draft and submit RFP responses and monitor award process
Summary of Responsibilities
  • At the direction of the Director of Sales and in collaboration with the Directors of Client Engagement and Relations, perform the “selling” and other requisite client-facing activities and execute the sales strategies that promote the sale of GRS products, including lead generation.
  •  Develop and execute plans to engage segments of GRS core and adjacent markets.
  • Engage in initial communications with potential clients and use existing technical knowledge to identity client goals, objectives, and needs.
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of GRS product offering functionalities and a proficiency in product usage.
  • Supports the end-to-end client life cycle.
  • Conduct product demos for potential clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop proposals that are responsive to client needs, goals, and objectives.
  • Collaborate with counsel and operations on contracting process.
  • Work closely with Client Success Specialist to ensure smooth hand-off after sale.
  •  Assist in managing existing client expansion of services.
  •  Participate, as directed, in GRS product offering development process and perform tasks related to development of new offerings (i.e., VOC process, product differentiation, value proposition, market segmentation, business plan, pricing, other pre-launch activities);
  • Participate in the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new and existing GRS product offerings.
  •  Lead the development and execution of strategic comprehensive sales plans for new and existing GRS products.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of sales strategies and go-to-market plans and make recommendations for necessary adjustment to meet market needs and inflections. 
Relationships
  • Works collaboratively with Business Development partners, Innovation, Marketing, Product Managers, and the Regional Directors of Client Engagement & Relations
  • Reports to the Senior Director of Business Solutions and works as a member of the Business Development team
  • Builds a rapport with all internal and external stakeholders

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3 years of experience in a higher education setting

Salary
GRS has different base pay ranges for different locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistent with different geographic markets. Compensation offered will depend on various factors in addition to location of primary residence, such as job level, complexity and responsibility required by the role, knowledge, job duties and requirements, relevant experience, and skills.

Pay Ranges for Applicants in CA, CO, and WA 
The pay range for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and New York City is $80,000 - $100,000.  For those who are elsewhere in California, the range is $80,000 - $100,000.  For those based in Colorado, the range is $80,000 -$100,000.  For those based in Washington State, the range is $80,000 - $100,000.  As noted above, all of these pay ranges depend upon specific location, knowledge, relevant experience, background, and skills.
