ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties include, but are not limited to:

 Design:
  •  Develop sound electrical designs that meet customer requirements and specifications.
  •  Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials for manufacturing\
 Documentation:
  •  Maintain complete engineering documentation for all projects.
 Technical Support:
  • Provide technical assistance to production and customers regarding electrical systems.
  • Offer technical field support through communication and occasional site visits. 
Collaboration:
  •  Work closely with customers, suppliers, and colleagues throughout project phases.
 Quality Control:
  •  Investigate and address non-conformance reports related to electrical systems.
 Vendor Management:
  • Collaborate with vendors to improve product quality, delivery times, and cost reduction.
Travel:
  •  May require occasional domestic and international travel for customer visits, equipment start-up, and troubleshooting.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  •  Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including air travel
  • Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots) as required

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  •  Office/cubicle environment
  • Shop environment including welding, overhead cranes, and fork trucks
  • Field on-track environment

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical system design and troubleshooting 
  • Railcar experience of 1 or more years a plus
  • Be aware of Lean production concepts
  • Able to work to demanding deadlines
  • Proficiency in CAD Electrical software (e.g., Solid Works Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical) for schematic and layout creation.
  • Knowledge of FMEA, Lean practices, Six Sigma, and Value Engineering
  • Self-motivated
  • Electrical system design/troubleshooting experience
  • Design experience with heavy machinery
  • Must maintain a valid passport and a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland L.P.

Wage Type: Salaried, exempt

This role will require to sign both a non-compete and non-solicit agreement.  The candidate will be eligible for a $500 Sign-On Bonus for each form they sign, totaling $1000.  This Sign-On Bonus will be paid out on the first pay period following date of hire.
