Intern - Purchasing/Supply Chain (Hybrid) - Crete, IL/Hybrid

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Executing and sending PO’s to suppliers
  • Monitoring and expediting delivery of parts when required
  • Monitoring potential project part shortages and communicating risk to the buyers appropriately
  • Work to resolve invoicing discrepancies as they relate to supplier shipment errors
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Standing, walking, bending and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions
  • Vision must be sufficient for imputing data into a computer
  • Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office related injuries
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 
  • Indoor office environment
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma
  • Must be enrolled and pursuing college courses related to business or supply chain
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work flow
  • Must be able and comfortable working both within a team environment and then individually
  • High level of MS Office skills including Excel and Word
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing and able to remain flexible with changing requirements
  • Must be willing to take and pass all mandatory pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to maintain a valid driver’s license along with an e-Rail Safe badge and meet the Holland Vehicle Fleet Policy
