ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop creative and innovative procurement solutions
- Evaluate and negotiate supplier agreements for optimal performance, quality, and pricing
- Lead sourcing efforts and strategies from vendor identification through vendor evaluation, selection, and implementation
- Demonstrate material savings by achieving targeted cost savings within area of management
- Perform cost analysis and assess financial risks
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships
- Manage and improve supplier quality by finding and eliminating supplier root cause
- Ensure project and customer deadlines are met to budget and delivery requirements
- Ability to work cross-departmentally on new project development and/or high profit product
- Maintain clear communications with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and purchasing policies
- Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds is regularly required for photocopying, filing and other record keeping duties
- Vision must be sufficient for inputting data into a computer
- Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office-related injuries
- Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots) as needed
- Ability to travel domestically as well as Internationally as necessary (up to 25%)

- Indoor office/home environment
- Open cubicle arrangement
- Occasional shop or vendor floor locations
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
- 5+ years direct Purchasing and/or Supply Chain experience with both domestic and international procurement
- Raw Material experience preferred – Steel and Plastic
- Experienced with Project Management fundamentals and Project Management process flow
- New product management experience
- Purchase order maintenance or material management experience
- Financial acumen to develop sourcing financial models, including total cost of ownership models
- Practical problem-solving approach to supply issues, business-minded, results-oriented, and a team player
- Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve procurement problems
- Exceptional vendor relations management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License Passport, and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy
- Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.
