Team Lead - Railcar Service - Terre Haute, IN

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS may include but not limited to:
  • Develop & maintain a highly engaged workforce with consistent recognition of meeting a high-performance standard.
  • Meet objectives for safety, quality, and profitability through effective management techniques.
  • Schedule employees appropriately to meet customer requirements while keeping overtime at a minimum.
  • Meet all required administrative reporting, budgeting and compliance reporting for all safety and quality directives.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of all operational supplies and specific parts needed to service your customer.
  • Positive outreach with the customer to build partnership on common goals of safety, education and leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to climb ladders on a railcars and trucks.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and walk over uneven surfaces.
  • Willingness to be available 24/7 for site support and travel up to 10% of the time if needed.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  • Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Exposure to dust from various grains, fertilizers and minerals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some technical schooling preferred
  • 2 years leadership experience preferred
  • Welding experience required
  • First aid and CPR certified required or ability to obtain in the first 6 months
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Individuals must have high levels of mechanical aptitude.
  • Railcar industry experience a plus.
  • Equipment operating experience a plus 
  • Good organizational and paperwork skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency at E-mail, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy
  • Must obtain and maintain MSHA Title 48 and Osha 10 Training certificate
  • Must be able to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland LP
