Inventory Control Manager - University Park, IL

Salary range: $90,000-$100,000
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Act as a bridge between Warehouse, Purchasing, Production Control, Operations, Engineering, and other departments to identify gaps, streamline processes, and implement solutions.
  • Drive business results by supporting the X-Matrix and executing initiatives that align with strategic targets.
  • Lead and manage inventory, process, and system improvement projects across the warehouse.
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to Warehouse staff and cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain reports for operational and executive leadership.
  • Monitor inventory costing, identify discrepancies, and resolve transactional and system issues in IFS.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including installation of racking and pallet locations, optimization of storage and material flow, and implementation of Lean tools (5S, visual management, SQDCP).
  • Analyze and improve warehouse processes and inventory management to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Serve as a Supply Chain leader for the optimization of the IFS ERP system.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and Holland employees throughout all phases of projects.
  • Drive team engagement, knowledge sharing, and proactive problem-solving across the Supply Chain organization.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues, following problems to root cause and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives by identifying and executing actionable solutions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed boots) as required
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  • Indoor office/home environment
  • Shop and warehouse environment including welding, overhead cranes, and fork trucks
  • Outdoor environment including field on-track environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management; preferably in a manufacturing or high-mix environment.
  • Hands-on Lean experience with a track record of continuous improvement
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems (IFS preferred) 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven
  • Maintain a valid Drivers License and abide by the Holland Fleet Policy
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P.

Wage Type: Salaried, exempt
This role will require to sign both a non-compete and non-solicit agreement.  The candidate will be eligible for a $500 Sign-On Bonus for each form they sign, totaling $1000.  This Sign-On Bonus will be paid out on the first pay period following date of hire.
