Job Description
We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Junior to Mid-Level Data Engineer with over 3 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Python, and hands-on experience with AWS services. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Optimize and maintain Redshift MPP databases for performance and scalability.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all data systems.
- Develop and maintain data models and database schemas.
- Implement data storage solutions on Amazon S3, ensuring efficient and cost-effective data management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and perform necessary maintenance.
- Create and maintain documentation for data processes, systems, and architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering roles.
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and optimization.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Hands-on experience with Redshift MPP databases, including performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with Amazon S3 for data storage and management.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, and Athena.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Understanding of data governance and security practices.
- Have worked with Healthcare data before.
