What you will do
We are looking to hire a Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Science team. You will be providing various reports and data analyses for internal and external clients. You will also be managing our data annotation effort. To do well in this role, you need a background in Computer Science, experience as a Data Analyst, knowledge of specifics of the Healthcare domain, and a deep understanding of the popular data analysis and visualization tools and databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform data mining and analysis using SQL and Python (Pandas);
  • Develop reports using SQL and Python (Pandas, Matplotlib, Excel);
  • Analyze internal and external data sources and identify new data analysis opportunities;
  • Use visualization tools to discover underlying trends, gain meaningful insights, and make data-driven decisions;
  • Manage datasets for our Data Science team;
  • Manage our data annotation effort: analyze annotated data, find disagreements between annotators and resolve them;
  • Support the data warehouse in identifying and revising HL7 mapping rules;

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science;
  • 10+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
  • 5+ years of experience in the Healthcare environment;
  • Knowledge of EHR data;
  • Expertise in writing advanced SQL and Elasticsearch queries;
  • Expertise in one or more data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, ggplot, Tableau);
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis;
  • Ability to write scripts in Python, knowledge of Pandas;
  • Experience working with Jupyter Notebooks;
  • Basic knowledge of Unix Shell commands;
  • Familiarity with HL7 data exchange protocol is a huge plus;
  • Familiarity with data annotation tools, such as Prodigy &  Brat is a huge plus;

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $110,000 - $130,000 (yr base pay); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.  This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act. Base (CEPA) pay information is based on market location.
