Billing & Collections Coordinator - Crete, IL/Hybrid

  • Collect accurate data daily, analyze data daily for assigned customers 
  • Maintaining production logs daily (only if customer cannot be processed in Invoice Assistant) for assigned customers
  • Work with field personnel, sales, and operations to ensure data is accurate
  • Enter accurate data to create daily, weekly, or monthly invoices
  • Use of multiple programs to retrieve, review, and enter data
  • Participate in monthly contract review to provide explanations for items invoiced
  • Keep up with ever changing processes based on customer demands
  • Document and maintain assigned customers billing process
  • Work in a team setting on process improvement opportunities
  • Review past due accounts and flag them for management to determine a course of action to take in collection
  • Contact customers to inquire about delinquent payments 
  • Investigate payment discrepancies and work with sales personnel to collect delinquent accounts and, if necessary, facilitate the issuance of customer credit memo to eliminate discrepancy
  • Cross train for other accounting functions as necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

  •  Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions
  •  Ability to lift up to 15 pounds is regularly required for filing and other record keeping duties
  •  Vision must be sufficient for inputting data into a computer
  •  Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office related injuries

  •  Indoor office/home environment
  •  High School graduate or equivalent required
  •  3+ years minimum of invoicing experience
  •  Strong Excel and MS Word skills
  •  Proven experience with successfully multi-tasking
  •  Strong customer service skills required
  •  Must be able to work well with others both within and without our department
  •  Strong written and oral communication skills
  •  Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy
  •  Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland L.P.
