SimX is a fast-growing startup bringing virtual and augmented reality to medical simulation training. Our product is the first comprehensive professional-grade VR medical simulation system, and it is used by our customers to train physicians, nurses, paramedics and other allied health professionals. Since our product has become generally available, demand has exploded and we're in need of new team members to move our product forward.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Write, analyze, review, and rewrite new program features from initial concept to deployment
  • Conduct trial runs of new program features to ensure they will produce the desired information and instructions
  • Assist customers with new or modified features by providing support and addressing any technical issues
  • Develop and improve features within the VR and AR environment
  • Develop and improve features in our standalone “moderator” application used by teachers to run our simulations
  • Consult with engineering, medical, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes
  • Responsible for staying up to date with the latest AR and VR strategies and technologies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Master’s degree in Game Design and Development or a related field
  • 6 months of experience with the following responsibilities:
    • building prototypes and maintaining existing prototypes for AR/VR 
    • developing VR/AR apps in the Unity game engine using C#
    • performing app optimization and maintenance on iOS and Android
    • working with version control systems, including git, creating internal dev tools performing data visualization, and utilizing 3D math and spatial reasoning

  • Target annual salary: $184,662; commensurate with experience
