Human Resources Coordinator - Crete, IL/Hybrid

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
·        Support the Human Resources team with analytics and administrative support 
·        Assist with the talent acquisition process including, but not limited to, updating the TA Tracker, coordinating onboarding with the Benefits team, extending job offers, and communicating with new hires regarding start dates 
·        Coordinate travel for new hires for new hire orientation 
·        Assist Generalists and Learning & Development (L&D) with the collection and retention of training records 
·        Create training certifications 
·        Complete verification of employment and background checks 
·        Respond to unemployment insurance claims; respond to petition, submit contest requests, and submit evidence as requested 
·        Manage distribution of office mail, including mailing training certifications 
·        Assist with completing monthly random drug tests 
·        Coordinate employee & community events (example:  Crete Elementary, company picnic) 
·        Coordinate new hire and years-of-service awards 
·        Assist Generalists with the collection and tracking of policy acknowledgements 
·        Manage the Crete office supply inventory 
·        Code invoices for billing reconciliation 
·        Conduct hourly candidate interviews 
·        Support Generalist team with special projects 
·        Performs all other duties as assigned 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
·        Standing, walking, bending and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions 
·        Ability to lift up to 15 pounds is regularly required for filing and other record keeping duties 
·        Vision must be sufficient for imputing data into a computer 
·        Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office related injuries 
 
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 
·        Indoor/home office environment 
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
·        High School Diploma or equivalent required; College Degree in Human Resources or like field preferred 
·        A minimum of 1 year in a Human Resources or Office Coordinator role preferred 
·        Ability to maintain confidentiality with dealing with personal and protected information 
·        Ability to multi task and prioritize your work flow 
·        Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel, Word, and Power Point 
·        Strong customer service and problem-solving skills 
·        Efficient at communicating both written and verbal 
·        Must be willing to take and pass all mandatory pre-employment testing 
·        Must be able to maintain a valid driver’s license along with an e-Rail Safe badge and meet the Holland Vehicle Fleet Policy
