ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                
Recruitment: 
  • Manage the full cycle of recruitment efforts for various positions within the company.
  • Source candidates through online channels, networking, and industry contacts.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
Training and Development:
  •  Develop and implement training programs that align with company goals and employee development needs.
  •  Coordinate and conduct orientation sessions for new hires.
  •  Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultations with managers.
  •  Monitor training programs to ensure effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
  •  Evaluate and report on the impact of training programs on employee performance.
  •  Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to recruitment, training, and employee development activities.
  •  Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Stay updated on HR trends and best practices in recruitment, training, and employee development.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  •  Standing, walking, bending and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions
  •  Ability to lift up to 15 pounds is regularly required for filing and other record keeping duties
  •  Vision must be sufficient for imputing data into a computer
  •  Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office related injuries
  •  Ability to travel up to 25% via ground, rail and air
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  •  Indoor/Home office environment
  •  May be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dusty environments, welding fumes and coal dust when traveling
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  •  College Degree in Human Resources or a related field required 
  •  Minimum of 1 year in a Human Resources capacity
  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality with dealing with personal and protected information
  •  Ability to multitask and prioritize your workflow
  •  Intermediate MS Office skills including Excel, Word and Power Point
  •  Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  •  Efficient at communicating both written and verbal
  •  Must be willing to take and pass all mandatory pre-employment testing
  •  Must be able to maintain a valid driver’s license along with an e-Rail Safe badge and meet the Holland Vehicle Fleet Policy
