Job Summary:
Curran’s human resource department is seeking an intern for Fall / Spring Semester that will work alongside the department lead to acquire hands-on experience and knowledge within the industry and profession. The ideal candidate will be available for half or full days at least 3 days per work week, M-F, with availability to begin as soon as possible.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Answer phones and direct calls as needed throughout the company
· Assist in company events such as ordering lunch or coordinating schedules including scheduling for Curran’s complimentary massage therapist
· Monitoring outlook email inbox and directing communications as needed
· Coordinate the ordering of office supplies
· Assist in the auditing of employee files and I9 documentation
· Updating employee’s information within our HR database including contact information and PTO
· Assist in recruiting efforts including SmartRank, Indeed, LinkedIn
· Schedule and execute phone and video interviews with potential candidates
· Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities:
· Proficient in Microsoft including Outlook and Excel
· Strong English language skills, including reading, writing and speaking
· Multitasking
· Able to prioritize important deadlines and time manage appropriately
Education & Experience:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Enrolled in university of certification program for Human Resources or related field
Working Conditions:
The role operates inside in a controlled environment with climate regulation, lighting, and safety measures in place. This role may require prolonged sitting, typing, and computer activity. Individuals in this role must be able to lift up to 25 lbs, bend, twist, and stand or sit for extended periods of time. Occasionally, an individual in this role may be exposed to the outdoors and excessive heat or cold, construction equipment, excessive loud noises, and moving objects or vehicles. PPE is required on site at all times.
