Customer Service Associate - University Park, IL

The individual in the position is required to have working knowledge of all the below functions to include but not limited to: 
·                     Take customer inquiries and orders. 
·                     Enter customer purchase orders, change orders, and reconciles sales order edit.
·                     Updates orders and releases to warehouse.
·                     Prepares and forwards shipping papers to warehouse.
·                     Prepare and submits customer invoicing to Holland’s Accounting department 
·                     Interfaces with purchasing/materials on customer requirements. 
·                     Research, cost, price, & quote international equipment spare parts. 
·                     Thoroughly address & resolve customer complaints & problem orders (NCR’s/RMA’s). 
·                     Distribute order/contract information, internally or externally, as required. 
·                     Investigates pricing discrepancies, short payments. 
·                     Contribute to the Continual Improvement of the customer service department. 
·                     All other duties as assigned   
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
·                     Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions. 
·                     Ability to lift up to 15 pounds is regularly required for filing and other record keeping duties. 
·                     Vision must be sufficient for inputting data into a computer. 
·                     Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office related injuries. 
 
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
·                     Indoor office environment/hybrid work environment
·                     May occasionally enter shop or warehouse
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
·                     High School graduate or equivalent. 
·                     3+ years Customer Service experience.
·                     Proficient in Word, Excel (charts and graphs) 
·                     Microsoft Outlook system knowledge/experience.
·                     IFS system knowledge desirable.
·                     Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
·                     Strong problem-solving skills.
·                     Positive attitude & strong work ethic.
·                     Strong oral and written communication skills.
·                     Good interpersonal skills in dealing with customers, employees, management, and vendors. 
·                     Ability to work in team environment.
·                     Must maintain a valid driver’s license and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy.
