ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide customer service to internal and external customers by:
  • Entering new part numbers into the IFS part master database.
  • Printing reports for shop personnel, as needed.
  • Managing the development and maintenance of production schedule.
  • Creating product Structures in IFS from documentation provided by engineering.
  • Working with manufacturing managers to establish proper part routings.
  • Creating new and existing product projects in IFS for production release.
  • Releasing parts to projects and creating purchase requisitions and shop orders.
  • Printing and distributing shop orders and drawings (stamp and initial drawings).
  • Correcting and authorizing engineering timesheets and maintain metrics spreadsheet.
  • Make sure non-project (work order) related shop orders are created and distributed.
  • Track ECR processing time as well as new parts and revisions.
  • Process ECR’s and revise parts, structures, routings and projects within IFS.
  • Investigate IFS errors, test new procedures and enter cases with IFS.
  • Periodically review “Checked out documents” and advise responsible parties.
  • Work with IT personnel to optimize the utilization of the IFS operating system.
  • Participate in the HED Lean Team activities and contribute to achieving the “Future State”.
  • Create test projects for review of structures and routings.
  • Utilize identified “long lead” materials for early project release requisitions.
  • Assist shop team leaders with time reporting issues.
  • Attend and participate in weekly production/MRB meetings.
  • Support the HED quality assurance system.
  • Facilitate the efficient release of projects and look for ways to reduce the release cycle time using Lean concepts.
  • Coordinate the release of information to purchasing/inventory in IFS for projects.
  • Maintain production/cost reports, as required.
  • Update divisional metrics spreadsheet or visual boards, as directed.
  • Perform general clerical duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work from home as required.
  • Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toed boots) as required by Holland safety policy.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
  • General office environment.
  • Open cubicle arrangement.
  • Occasionally will be in shop atmosphere/conditions.
  • Occasionally maybe in outside weather conditions for a short period of time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Good organizational and paperwork skills.
  • Proficient at Lotus Notes, Word, strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent data entry skills and at least 60 wpm keyboarding.
  • Attention to detail is important.
  • Personal discipline is required in following all procedures and in performing daily tasks.
  • Must be able to work to a high demand, ever changing, schedule.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with the IFS operating system is a plus.
