SimX is a fast-growing startup bringing virtual and augmented reality to medical simulation training. Our product is the first comprehensive professional-grade VR medical simulation system, and it is used by our customers to train physicians, nurses, paramedics and other allied health professionals. Since our product has become generally available, demand has exploded and we're in need of new team members to move our product forward.

THE JOB
As a Sales Manager, you will lead and manage a team of 10-15 Territory Managers (TM), driving day-to-day operations and sales performance to maximize efficiency and results. Your role will be instrumental in refining our sales processes, implementing accountability frameworks, and fostering a performance-driven culture. Our expectation is that we have a world-class sales team that shares the SimX vision of saving lives through better, easier, and more accessible simulation training.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership and Management
  • Oversee the daily activities of 10-15 territory managers (TM), ensuring alignment with individual and company goals.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s and daily team meetings to reinforce goals, monitor progress, maintain high morale/motivation, and train.
Performance Monitoring and Accountability
  • Establish clear, outcome-based performance metrics for each territory manager.
  • Utilize data-driven methods to assess productivity, forecast pipeline, and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Implement daily, weekly, and monthly reviews to ensure consistent tracking and improvement of individual and team performance.
Training and Skill Development
  • Review recorded sales calls weekly with individuals and as a team.
  • Design and lead continuous training programs focused on prospect familiarization, sales techniques, objection handling, and product knowledge.
  • Work closely with sales reps to refine closing skills, aiming to shorten the sales cycle and boost conversion rates.
  • Foster a culture of learning and development, encouraging reps to continually improve their skills and sales acumen.
Sales Process Optimization
  • Refine and enforce a standardized, repeatable sales process
  • Regularly assess the sales funnel to identify and address bottlenecks, maximizing revenue-generating activities.
  • Implement and monitor CRM usage, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting across the team.
Goal Setting and Incentives
  • Set realistic yet ambitious sales goals aligned with company revenue targets.
  • Develop incentive programs and bonuses tied directly to performance outcomes, motivating reps to exceed quotas.
  • Promote accountability by creating transparent performance dashboards accessible to the entire team.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams
  • Partner with marketing, customer success, and product teams to align on customer needs and optimize the customer journey.
  • Provide feedback to leadership and product teams based on territory manager insights and client needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree, or comparable experience
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare simulation and/or SAAS sales
  • At least 3 years managing a sales team in healthcare simulation and/or SAAS sales.
  • Substantial experience with common office and sales tools like Salesforce, Microsoft Teams/Slack, Google Docs/Microsoft Office, and others. 
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, meticulous, and organized problem-solver
  • Willing to work on a flexible schedule, including evening meetings.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Permanent residence in the United States.
  • Willingness to travel for work.

This is a full-time, remote position. Candidates must live within the United States. In addition, candidates will also be expected to attend major simulation conferences and/or in person consultation meetings potentially as frequently as monthly.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional experience within the healthcare industry (RN, EMT, Paramedic, PA, MD, DO, etc).
  • Experience managing inside sales, outside sales, and account managers
  • Degree in business management, marketing, communications, or related field. 
  • Experience with VR hardware and software.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Target salary range: $120,000-150,000 annually; commensurate with experience. Plus commission compensation based on sales teams performance.
