Our product is the first comprehensive professional-grade VR medical simulation system, and it is used by our customers to train physicians, nurses, paramedics and other allied health professionals. Since our product has become generally available, demand has exploded and we're in need of new team members to move our product forward.

THE JOB
SimX is seeking a creative and motivated Part-Time Social Media Specialist to manage and grow our social media presence across various platforms. This role focuses on community engagement, event promotion, and brand-building to showcase SimX as a thought leader in VR simulation. The ideal candidate will have a medical or clinical background and a passion for leveraging social media to connect with healthcare professionals and educators.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Engagement
- Manage and engage with vertical communities in healthcare, nursing education, EMS, and military personnel.
- Respond to comments, questions, and discussions to build relationships and gather feedback.
- Monitor and utilize platform-specific ad services for targeted marketing campaigns.
- Post content from the marketing team and package it appropriately for their respective platform.
- Develop effective content and strategies for growing our social media presence and engagement.
Event Promotion
- Coordinate and execute campaigns for conferences, webinars, and tournaments.
- Share updates and manage social media timelines before, during, and after events.
- Highlight partner success stories and customer recognition during events like Simulation Week.
Brand-Building
- Publish articles and engage in conversations to establish SimX as a thought leader in VR simulation.
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule to optimize algorithm visibility.
- Leverage SimX leadership’s expertise to enhance topical authority.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Medical or Clinical Background: Experience in nursing, EMS, military, or other healthcare fields.
- Social Media Expertise: Proven experience managing and growing social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to adapt tone and style to fit different audiences.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
This is a part-time, remote role with flexible hours. Availability to support live events during evenings or weekends may occasionally be required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working in marketing or communications within the healthcare or medical simulation industry.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark) or basic video editing skills.
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing strategies to enhance social media campaigns.
