Job Summary:
The Project Accountant plays a key role in the financial health of our construction projects by managing timely and accurate billing processes. This position is responsible for preparing monthly project billings, reviewing subcontractor invoices, tracking DBE participation, and supporting project close-out efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in Excel, and able to both work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly project billings for public and private customers
- Review weekly subcontractor billings for the assigned projects
- Prepare owner waivers and collect subcontractor waivers
- Request release of subcontractor payments from AP
- Track DBE participation
- Facilitate project close-out
- Review of open Accounts receivables on a regular basis
- Prepare T&M billings
- Import awarded projected into accounting and field tracking software
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities:

- Intermediate Excel skills

- Exceptional communication skills to work with internal and external customers
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s in accounting or finance heavily preferred, or equivalent experience
- 1 to 3 years of accounting related experience preferred
- Heavy highway or civil construction experience preferred
- Experience with Via by Viewpoint is a plus

This role is targeting a range of $60-70k and is eligible for the company's incentive bonus program.
