Team Lead - Transloading - Ardoch, ND

Salary range: $22 - $29 per hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS may include but not limited to: 
  • Follow and enforce all Holland, L.P. & American Crystal Sugar safety rules 
  • Visually inspect equipment for safe operations and clean up any coal spilt or product 
  • May be required to Safely operate a Service Vehicle. 
  • Monitor CDL Drivers to ensure all DOT compliance is followed 
  • Assist drivers with all load/delivery issues (Truck or Equipment) 
  • Keep coal free of contaminates and place in a way to avoid any degradation of product 
  • Manage coal stockpile to ensure coal is properly positioned for loading/unloading 
  • Operate various equipment (Bulldozer, road grader, skid steer) 
  • Ensure that all project sites are kept in a clean & safe condition 
  • Divert truck loads to alternate factories if change is required from original dispatch 
  • Notify management team of any safety incidents or accidents on your shift 
  • Maintain plant security at night when personnel on site is at minimum levels 
  • Must have flexibility in schedule to accommodate train schedules 
  • Must deliver proper safety briefings to team 
  • Communicate with ACS factories to any changes during shift 
  • Assist with train unloading 
  • Monitor team lead phone 
  • Other duties as assigned 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Standing, walking, bending, and stretching are required to perform train-unloading operations 
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools, hammers, and the ability to move 25 pounds are regularly required to perform unloading operations 
  • Vision must be sufficient for driving, and inspection of trucks and all other equipment required for the purpose of material handling 

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 
  • Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions 
  • Exposure to Coal dust from coal unloading & stacking operations 
  • Exposure to silica dust from limestone unloading 
  • Exposure to gasoline & fuel vapors when fueling trucks and equipment 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience of heavy equipment operation, or equivalent 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of DOT rules and regulations 
  • Positive attitude & strong work ethic 
  • Demonstrated math, reading, and writing skills to read car ID numbers, and prepare reports 
  • Satisfactory completion of all company-training program for Operators 
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment testing required by Holland, L.P. 
  • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and DOT Med Card, and abide by our Corporate Fleet Policy. Class A CDL preferred (or obtain within first year of employment)
